The National Emergency Management agency’s “Strategic Document Development and Training Technical Working Group” organized a joint meeting with U.S. Forest Service instructors.

The meeting focused on developing work plans for 2025-2026, sharing experiences, and exchanging ideas to enhance participants' professional skills.

The collaboration between NEMA and the U.S. Forest Service, supported by the United States Agency for International Development has resulted in several training programs, including:

  • Training on “Emergency Incident Management”  in 2019
  • Virtual training on “Management and Organization of Emergency Operations Centers”  in 2022
  • ICS instructor training programs  in 2023-2024

These initiatives continue to strengthen Mongolia’s emergency management systems and preparedness.

NEMA, in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service, has organized a training program on the “Incident Command System” to certify instructor trainers. Certificates were awarded to the participants who successfully completed the course.

The training covered the structure of the Incident Command System, incident assessment, goal-oriented management, resource management, and disaster response planning. Participants gained theoretical and practical knowledge on these topics, enhancing their skills to operate effectively within the Incident Command system framework.
