The 48th Consultative Committee Meeting of the Colombo Plan for Cooperative Economic and Social Development is being held in Ulaanbaatar, on May 29-31, 2024. This year’s Consultative Committee Meeting(CCM) is convening under the theme "Envisioning a Region with Joint Forces Against Drugs: Stronger through Prevention and Treatment", where participants are discussing engagement in a thorough review of economic and social progress since the last CCM, and discussions focus on future priorities, resource optimization strategies, and the enhancement of technical cooperation programs for optimal impact. Mongolia joined the Colombo Plan, a regional organization in Asia and the Pacific with 28 member states, in 2004.
