Direct flights to 155 destinations in 44 countries from Mongolia are now available

On January 23, 2024, Byambatsogt, the Minister of Road and Transportation Development, and Fiona Blyth, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Mongolia, signed the ”Agreement between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning air services”. At today's cabinet meeting, the agreement was approved officially. As a result, in addition to direct flights between the two countries, it is possible to fly through Europe and Central Asia. Therefore, Mongolia is able to have direct flights to 155 destinations in 44 countries. In 2024, new flight agreements will be concluded with Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Spain, Latvia, and Azerbaijan. Air traffic agreements with Australia, Iran and Indonesia are also planned. Furthermore, direct flights to Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, Novosibirsk of Russia, and Erlian of China will be launched soon.
