Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Jan Lipavský welcomed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia Battsetseg Batmunkh on May 11. During the meeting, the ministers of the Czech Republic and Mongolia positively assessed bilateral relations and agreed on the need to strengthen trade and economic cooperation. "We will further discuss trade cooperation during the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation. It will take place in the fall in Ulaanbaatar, and we will focus mainly on raw materials policy and the mining industry," the Czech Foreign Minister said at the beginning of the meeting. The Minister also praised the abolition of the visa regime for Czech tourists to Mongolia, as well as the launch of the scholarship program of the President of Mongolia. "I am pleased that Mongolia will start sending students to the Czech Republic under the scholarship program from 2024. I am also glad that Mongolia is part of the Czech government's program for skilled workers. The citizens of Mongolia contribute to the success of the Czech Republic's companies in the world and gain valuable qualifications and relationships with our country," the Minister emphasized.
