Mongolia’s gold stockpile rises to 3.2 tonnes
The Central Bank of Mongolia purchased approximately 1000 kilograms of precious metals last month
The Central Bank of Mongolia purchased approximately 1000 kilograms of precious metals last month, increasing the total volume of purchased precious metals to 3.2 tonnes this year. The branches of the Central Bank of Mongolia in Bayankhongor and Darkhan-Uul provinces have purchased 360 kilograms and 230 kilograms of precious metals respectively since the beginning of this year. The Central Bank sets the purchase price of precious metals at the world market price. The average price per kilogram was almost 225,000 Mongolian Tugriks in April.
