The alumni of the Youth leadership program by the Zorig Foundation, initiate a project called “ Bid Bugd”

The alumni of the Youth leadership program by the Zorig Foundation, initiate a project called “ Bid Bugd” or “We all” to fight bullying among school age children. The project aims to educate children on what bullying is and its side effects on the victims by holding in person lessons, while also providing information to the public through their web-page. Since the start of the project in March this year, they have successfully held lessons, established anti-bullying student clubs and created a board from creative pieces made by students among over 100 students of 5th-9th grade. According to a study conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science in 2017, over 80% of children ages of 12-18 experience bullying and violence among their peers and the number has not decreased in the past years. Bullying is shown to lead to negative behavioral changes, pessimistic or skewed world-view, reduced motivation and performance at school, and has overall negative effects on mental ad physical well-being. The “Bid Bugd” project is sharing information about the effects of bullying among peers, and also encouraging children to seek help and support if they experience bullying on their Facebook page: Bid Bugd Hamtdaa
