Educational Cooperation with Poland strengthens
Cooperation documents between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Poland were signed.
Within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda to Mongolia, cooperation documents between the Government of Mongolia and the Government of the Republic of Poland were signed. For collaboration in the field of science and education, the cooperation agreement between the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and the University of Warsaw of the Republic of Poland was signed by Mr. Regdel President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, and Mr. Krzysztof Boyko Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Mongolia. The Department of Asian Studies at the University of Warsaw founded by Mr. Józef Kowalewski, a Polish scholar, has expanded into the Department of Mongolian and Tibet Studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University of Warsaw. The Department offers three courses at the bachelor, master, and doctoral levels and also conducts academic research on Mongolian and Tibetan studies by cooperating with Mongolian educational and research institutions, such as the National University of Mongolia and the Center for Mongolian Studies. Currently, over 30 students are studying at Department of Mongolian and Tibetan Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw. Furthermore, Mongolian studies in Poland are expected to develop through intensifying relations and cooperation between the two countries.
