Archeologists discovered grave of an ancient noblewoman
A team from the Research Center for Archeology of the National University of Mongolia discovered and unearthed a grave of a noblewoman who lived in the 13th to 14th century.
In September of last year, a team from the Research Center for Archeology of the National University of Mongolia, headed by Doctor and Associate Professor Mr. Turbat, discovered and unearthed a grave of a noblewoman who lived in the 13th to 14th century, on the territory of Sukhbaatar province. Currently, the restoration of the artifacts found in the tomb is being carried out by specialists from the Department of Conservation, Protection, Technological Research and the Department of Restoration of the National Center for Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture. In this regard, Minister of Culture Ms. Nomin worked at the National Cultural Heritage Center last week. According to a census on immovable historic and cultural heritage, there are more than 1400 objects registered at about 280 cultural sites on the territory of Sukhbaatar province.
