Request to cooperate with Finland at all levels of education expressed
L.Enkh-Amgalan, the Minister of Education and Science, held a meeting with Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Non-residential Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to Mongolia.
L.Enkh-Amgalan, the Minister of Education and Science, held a meeting with Leena-Kaisa Mikkola, Non-residential Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Finland to Mongolia. the Minister of Education and Science, L.Enkh-Amgalan worked in the Republic of Finland twice in 2022 in order to gain experience on revising the Education Package Act, and got acquainted with the operations of relevant state administrative institutions, universities, and kindergartens. The Ministry of Education and Science signed a memorandum of understanding with Eduten digital platform company, from University of Turku, Finland. By signing the memorandum, Mongolia's elementary school students are able to use the artificial intelligence-based platform supporting mathematics education. The Minister also expressed his interest in implementing a short-term and long-term teacher exchange program with the University of Helsinki and the University of Jyväskylä to improve the capacity of university teachers. He also expressed his willingness to cooperate in the field of quality assessment, e-transition, and reform of the financing system at all levels of education. Within the framework of the revival policy, L.Enkh-Amgalan also proposed to cooperate with Finnish schools in the training of engineers and technicians in the matching fund and the President's Scholar–2100 scholarship program to train students by providing equal funding from both sides. During this meeting, the ambassador expressed his readiness to cooperate on all sides.
