Foreign trade turnover reached 4.8 billion US Dollars

The Mongolian Customs General Administration gave information on the export and import of goods as of this Monday. The total turnover of foreign trade reached 4.8 billion US Dollars, an increase of around 60 percent or 1.7 billion US Dollars from the same period of last year. Of this, exports increased by 1.5 billion US Dollars and imports by 0.2 billion US Dollars. During this period, Mongolia traded with 107 countries, exported goods to 39 countries, and imported goods from 105 countries. As for the export, exports have reached 3.2 billion US Dollars since the beginning of 2023, which increased by 1.5 billion US Dollars from the same period of last year. Mining products such as iron ore, coal, copper concentrate, zinc concentrate, fluorspar, molybdenum concentrate, crude oil, and silver ore account for almost 99 percent of the export of mineral products and 84 percent of the total export.
