Mongolian Team Becomes Three-Time Champion of World Memory Championships
The 31st World Memory Championships was grandly held online due to the pandemic between December 12-18, 2022, even though it was supposed to be taken place in China.
The 31st World Memory Championships was grandly held online due to the pandemic between December 12-18, 2022, even though it was supposed to be taken place in China. The International Association of Memory officially announced the result and selected its winners on the 21st of this month. In this year’s championships, more than 400 outstanding memory athletes from 24 countries competed in 10 categories. The Mongolian team finished in first place with almost 19,000 points by winning 54 of the total 90 medals. Moreover, representing Mongolia, 30 athletes from Ulaanbaatar and rural areas took part in the World Memory Championships 2022, and two athletes qualified for the International Grand Master of Memory or IGM title, whereas several athletes qualified for the International Master title. Previously, the Mongolian memory team has successfully participated in a total of 61 international intellectual contests, which were held in different countries such as England, America, Germany, China, South Korea, India, Singapore, and Turkiye, and won 105 trophies and around 1,200 medals. The Mongolian Intellectual Academy reported that with these achievements, we have set many world and Guinness records and kept going on the path to success.
