President of Mongolia U. Khurelsukh today landed in Tokyo, Japan to begin his 4-day state visit on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan. Within the framework of his state visit, the President will pay a courtesy call on His Majesty the Emperor Naruhito and hold official talks with Prime Minister Fumio Kishida. Within the framework of his state visit to Japan, President of Mongolia U. Khurelsukh received the members of the Mongolia-Japan Economic Committee. At the meeting, the President of Mongolia highlighted the valuable contribution made by the committee to developing bilateral relations and cooperation. Noting that a regular consultation will be held between the public and private sectors of the two countries as part of the visit, the President underlined the significance of diversifying the economy, creating a multi-pillar economic structure, and improving the export potential. The President also voiced confidence that the Japanese side will actively cooperate with Mongolia in attracting Japanese investment as well as introducing technology and know-how in the priority sectors of the economy. This is the first visit from Mongolia to Japan at the level of head of state in 12 years and is aimed at deepening relations between Mongolia and Japan.
