Speaker of Parliament visits Turkish Constitutional Court

Speaker of Parliament Mr. Zandanshatar, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of Turkey, met President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey Mr. Zühtü Arslan on October 14th. At the outset of the meeting, Speaker of the State Great Khural or Parliament of Mongolia Mr. Zandanshatar emphasized that Mr. Zuhtu Arslan gave an interesting speech on the Constitution of Mongolia during the Fifth Meeting of the Asian Society in Ulaanbaatar. Furthermore, the Speaker of the Parliament expressed his satisfaction with the intensification of cooperation between the Constitutional Courts and the courts of the two countries by having regular mutual visits, meetings, and exchange of experience. Then he expressed confidence in the further expansion and strengthening of cooperation in the field of scientific research. In turn, President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey Mr. Zühtu Arslan expressed that he is honored by the visit of the Mongolian Speaker and representatives of the State Great Khural and emphasized that the country is one of the countries with the oldest history in establishing a Constitutional Court. Also, he expressed that he would support Mongolia-Turkey cooperation on this matter. The representatives of the Mongolian Parliament also exchanged views on the results of the amendments made to the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey and got acquainted with the activities of the Constitutional Court.
