Minister of Foreign Affairs held official talks with Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan in the framework of her visit. During the talks, the sides assessed the current state of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Kazakhstan, and discussed further developing relations in sectors, such as politics, trade and economy, transport and logistics, agriculture, culture, education, and tourism as well as international and regional cooperation. They shared the practices being implemented in both countries for economic recovery and protection of public health, overcoming the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, and exchanged views on opportunities for having active bilateral trade and economic cooperation. In its framework, the side of Mongolia expressed interest in expanding bilateral trade by increasing the supply of meat and meat products being exported from Mongolia to Kazakhstan and countries in the region, and carrying out studies on introducing drought-resistant crops in the farming sector. Furthermore, a request was put forth to create active cooperation between the two countries’ veterinary and quarantine organizations as well as to make profits by utilizing the geographic location connecting the continents of Asia and Europe as landlocked countries.
