In connection with the approval of the Law on Cinematography, the Cabinet made appropriate changes to the visa issuance regulation, deciding to permit the issuance of visas in ‘K4’ classification for foreign nationals arriving in Mongolia to make films. With this, the K4 visa will now be issued for foreign nationals arriving in Mongolia for the purposes of culture and arts, sports competitions and events as well as for making films and video content. By facilitating the visa process, it creates the opportunity for cooperation in film making in Mongolia, capacity building for domestic filmmakers and artists, and attracting other investment. As of today, over 90 countries of the world implement regulations that facilitate the visa process for filmmakers, reports the Ministry of Culture.
