COVID-19: 630 new cases and five deaths reported
Daily briefing on the COVID-19 situation for today, May 24, reported that 630 new coronavirus cases were detected in the past 24 hours across the country after a total of 5,849 PCR tests were performed nationwide.
In specific, 581 new cases were confirmed in Ulaanbaatar city and 49 cases -- in rural regions. Thus, the total cases of the COVID-19 in the country have reached 53,100. In the past 24 hours, 410 patients made recovery, making the total recoveries 46,748.
As of May 24, a total of 4,243 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Ulaanbaatar city and the rural aimags. Among them, 122 patients are in serious health conditions.
The National Center for Communicable Diseases has reported five new COVID-19 related deaths, raising the country's death toll to 253.
