Mongolia-Thai Chamber of Commerce established
Mongolia’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand A.Tumur, on behalf of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand Mr. Kalin Sarasin signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of the Mongolian-Thai Chamber of Commerce on March 11 in Bangkok.
“I am confident that the document will bring many significant results such as an increase in the bilateral trade and investment as well as the implementation of joint projects and programs,” said the President of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry O.Amartuvshin who attended the event virtually. He also emphasized that it opens up opportunities for the Chambers of the two countries to organize joint business meetings, establish new partnerships by formally connecting businesses of the two countries, and help them find a legal client.
Moreover, he stressed that the total trade turnover between the two countries decreased to USD34.6 million last year and it is important to develop the tourism sector for the rapid increase in trade turnover.
Within the framework of the MoU, the parties agreed to launch a partnership between the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Business Academy under the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry and to cooperate in training skilled business personnel.
