On January 18-29, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is organizing online meetings with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies to discuss the directions of loans, grants, and technical assistance projects and programs included in the 2021-2024 Country Partnership Strategy with Mongolia.
As part of it, an online meeting has been held between the Minister of Labor and Social Protection A.Ariunzaya and ADB Country Director Pavit Ramachandran, and other relevant specialists.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged information on the progress and implementation of ongoing projects and programs in the fields of employment, social protection, development of people with disabilities, and vocational education and training.
Ms. Ariunzaya put an emphasis on the government policies and priorities in employment and social protection and activities and legal reforms being implemented by the ministry.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to cooperate in promoting employment and implementing effective social welfare policies rather than distributing benefits to citizens, establishing a specialized care center for people with mental disabilities, and improving employment, skills, and professional training in harmony with the vocational education sector, as well as implementing relevant projects further.
