16 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Ulaanbaatar city
At 11 am, today, the National Center for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) presented results of coronavirus tests carried out nationwide on January 20.
According to the Head of Surveillance Department of the NCCD A.Ambaselmaa, 16 people were diagnosed with the coronavirus after involving 12,940 people in PCR testing and all the cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city.
Of the cases, 15 were being quarantined at isolation facilities and were close contacts of previously confirmed cases including a residential apartment block in 12th khoroo of Bayangol district and Monos pharmacy branch. Also, a staff of the NCCD was detected with the coronavirus.
13 people have been cured in the last 24 hours and transferred into home isolation.
Total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Mongolia have reached 1,584 so far with 1046 recoveries. 523 people are receiving treatment and 2 of them are in very critical, 7 are in critical, 55 are in serious and 462 are in mild health condition.
