Mongolian boys develop coronavirus-killing mobile game
Two Mongolian brothers, who live in the city of London, United Kingdom, have developed a mobile game that tasks players to eliminate coronavirus.
11-year-old L.Sansar and 9-year-old L.Oljeitu have developed the game named ‘2020 AR War’ while staying home in quarantine during COVID-19 pandemic. And they opened a website Pixel-Ed Gaming.
Brother Sansar was responsible for the coding and game designing while his younger brother L.Oljeitu worked on detailed graphic design. The boys, who study at a school in London Borough Merton located in the southeast part of London, wrote on the Facebook page of their website “Lately all schools were quarantined which meant we can’t go to school. Because how we hate this virus for ruining many lives and how sneaky the virus is because you can’t see it, we decided to make a game in augmented reality where you can exterminate the coronavirus. You just don’t sit around and play. In order to play effectively, you must actively move around using your mobile device to locating and firing and eliminating the viruses and dodging their incoming missiles. Also, we especially embedded a reminder in the game page to wash your hands. It makes us feel better for doing something at least. The scientists are trying very hard to find a vaccination but in the meantime, we can just wait for them and be safe and just play the game. We are sure that they will find a cure vaccination for the virus. Please do spread the word, Stay Home, Be Safe, and Protect Others. Please download the game and have family fun.” 2020 AR War game created by the Mongolian boys is available to download for free on App Store.
