The 2nd Meeting of Mongolia-Kazakhstan Transportation Joint Committee was held in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan.
The 2nd Meeting of Mongolia-Kazakhstan Transportation Joint Committee was held in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan. Emphasizing that the volume of transport between Mongolia and Kazakhstan has been growing year by year, the parties decided to increase the permits for freight transport by 200 and passenger transport permits by 25 respectively with a purpose to ensure demands. The sides also discussed the use of new type of a letter of consent on conducting transportation to Mongolia and Kazakhstan from the third countries. By using this letter of consent, Mongolian freight companies will be able to conduct transportation to Kazakhstan from Russia, China and other third countries. To create safe and convenient conditions for citizens traveling between Mongolia and Kazakhstan, the sides agreed to open permanent passenger transport service between Ulgii soum of Bayan-Ulgii aimag and Almaty city of Kazakhstan in the near future. Moreover, Mongolian delegation put forward a cooperation proposal on involving auto road specialists in advanced training and re-training. They agreed to pay attention on the matter.
