Teacher training workshop on disaster risk reduction takes place
In aims of introducing the guideline and method as well as giving knowledge on earthquake risk reduction, a workshop on teacher training took place.
In the frameworks of the ‘Project for Strengthening the National Capacity of Earthquake Disaster Protection and Prevention in Mongolia’ jointly implemented by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), a guideline on seismic risk evaluation for buildings and methods to fortify were developed in partnership with Mongolian Association of Civil Engineers. In aims of introducing the guideline and method as well as giving knowledge on earthquake risk reduction, a workshop on teacher training took place. Construction project engineers are to learn how to evaluate seismic risk for buildings and fortification guideline.
