A number of projects are being implemented in collaboration with donor countries and international organizations within the framework of expansion and development of foreign cooperation in the food and agriculture sector. Specifically, Mongolian Vegetable Project funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, German-Mongolian Cooperation Project “Sustainable Agriculture”, Community Vegetable Farming for Livelihood Improvement project by ADB and EU project on “Development of livestock and vegetable product cost networks with private sector participation” are under implementation. The projects focus on the increase of domestic production of wheat, vegetables and fruits, creation of jobs and capacity building in the sector. Thus, the Agriculture Policy Regulation Department at the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry held a meeting with project coordinators in order to increase the efficiency of the projects and coordinate directions of cooperation. During the meeting, the Ministry representatives expressed their views on ways of cooperation with international projects on sustainable farming, improving soil fertility, adopting good practices, renewing the sector standards and educating farmers. The project coordinators agreed to officially submit their proposals to the Ministry.
