Jack Weatherford's book on Chinggis khan published in Vietnamese

‘Chinggis Khan and the making of the modern world’ book by an American author and publicist Jack Weatherford was published in Vietnamese. Vo Phuong Linh, a Vietnamese author translated the book and sent its sample to the Embassy of Mongolia in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The Embassy organizes book exchanging events with book clubs of diplomatic missions in Hanoi and publishing the book in Vietnamese is contributive to promote history and culture of Mongolia to the people of Vietnam. The author by Jack Weatherford, Dewitt Wallace Professor of Anthropology at Macalester College wrote the history book in 2004. It is a narrative of the rise and influence of Chinggis Khan and his successors, and their influence on European civilization. Weatherford provides a different slant on Chinggis Khan than has been typical in most Western accounts, attributing positive cultural effects to his rule.
