Mongolia's GDP grows 6.3 percent in first half of this year

Mongolia's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 6.3 percent year on year in the first half of 2018, according to the preliminary data released by the country's National Statistics Office. The GDP totaled eight trillion Mongolian tugriks or 3.2 billion U.S. dollars in the January-June period of 2018, an increase of over 475 billion Mongolian tugriks compared to the same period last year. The country's robust growth is underpinned by tax revenue growth and the favorable performance in the service sector, the data showed.
