Mongolian and Japanese artists’ joint exhibition opens
The exhibition presents calligraphy works by 14 artists from Mongolia including State Honored Cultural Figure, poet Mend-Ooyo.G, Master of calligraphy Batbayar.B and other calligraphers.
Dedicated to the 45th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Japan, an exhibition entitled 'Shizuke' was opened at ‘Norpei’ art gallery in Ulaanbaatar.
The exhibition presents calligraphy works by 14 artists from Mongolia including State Honored Cultural Figure, poet Mend-Ooyo.G, Master of calligraphy Batbayar.B, other calligraphers in addition to representatives of Japanese politicians, writers and artists.
“This is the 5th exhibition being displayed with Japanese artists. Previously, the opening of the exhibition was attended by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and his mother, President of Mongolia and Japanese and Mongolian artists in Tokyo. We also held exhibitions in collaboration with artists of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the Republic of Korea and plan to organize Calligraphers’ Exhibition of Asian Countries”, said Khurelbaatar.S, Head of the Mongolian Modern Calligraphers Association.
