Asian Open Ground Golf Tournament held
A total of 410 people including 240 people from the UB districts, 100 from 10 provinces and 70 from 12 foreign countries participated in the tournament.
The first Asian Open Ground Golf Tournament was held at ‘Chingisiin Khuree’ camp located in 25 km from Ulaanbaatar, the National Ground Golf Association of Mongolia said. A total of 410 people including 240 people from the UB districts, 100 from 10 provinces and 70 from 12 foreign countries participated in the tournament. The sport was developed in the town of Yurihama in Japanʼs Tottori Prefecture in 1982. It has a unique feature such as simple rules, no time limit, no age limit, unlimited number of players and easy preparation of the field, and is rapidly spreading. Today the number of ground golf enthusiasts has increased dramatically in Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Argentina, USA, China, Poland, Russia, Hungary, and Mongolia.
