Six new slab graves and one stone structure were discovered as a result of archeological exploration works conducted in Bayan-Uul subprovince of the eastern Dornod province. The research team led by academician Tseveendorj.D presented their report of 2017. Under the basic research work titled ‘Identifying the ancient history of Mongolia by human and animal bone studies,’ the team conducted researches in more than 16 subprovinces of Khentii, Sukhbaatar and Dornod provinces. Purpose of the researches was to discover new settlements, graves, memorials and examine previously recorded monuments of the New Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages in the eastern region of Mongolia. The team reviewed and investigated a number of monuments of the New Stone Age in these areas, collecting 75 artifacts from seven sites, making laboratory studies and related documentation of the findings.
