Renowned opera singer Amartuvshin to play in La Traviata

The State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet will stage the opera La Traviata by G.Verdi for the 106th time. Based on the novel La Dame aux Camélias (The Lady with the Camellias) (1852), the opera was first played for Mongolian audiences in 1977. State Honored Artist, Soloist of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and Cultural envoy Amartuvshin.E will perform for the 106th performance of the La Traviata at the invitation. He has been performing on the world stages and proving himself as one of the best opera singers in the world. Namely, he was recently awarded Honor award at the Bravo International Professional Music Awards held at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow on March 11. Earlier this year, Amartuvshin.E portrayed the role of Rigoletto in Rigoletto by Guiseppe Verdi in the Teatro Regio di Parma, Italy. Baritone E.Amartüvshin also won prizes from national and international opera competitions such as the 2nd prize and a public award for the best male singer from the XIV Tchaikovsky Competition, the Grand-Prix prize from Plаcido Domingo’s Operalia International Competition for Opera singers and the Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize at the 2015 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition.
