Making up the shape of Mongolian territory, 3,333 children gathered at central square Sukhbaatar past week to simultaneously recite “Independence” poem written by Mongolian famous poet Purevdorj Dendev. President of Mongolia Battulga Khaltmaa came to watch the recital of the children, who were dressed in traditional clothes ‘deels’. The event was aimed to promote patriotism among children and teach them the value of independence said the event organizer. The poem of ‘Independence’ was awarded with state prize with supports provided by Mongolian general public during the socialist time, after overcoming several other restrictions and prohibitions on the publication of such poem by the ruling party at that time as the author’s patriotic view was incorporated to his work.
