Mongolian opera singer nominated for 2018 international opera awards

Mongolia’s operatic baritone and cultural envoy Amartuvshin.E was nominated for ‘Young Singer’ nomination of the 2018 International Opera Awards, an annual awards ceremony honoring excellence in opera around the world. The 2018 International Opera Awards sees over 100 candidates in the running for twenty different awards. It is a red-carpet ceremony honoring outstanding achievement on stage, backstage and in the pit, with awards including Singer of the Year, Opera Company of the Year and the annual Lifetime Achievement Award. Awards for Young Singer and Newcomer recognized emerging talent. Winners of the 2018 International Opera Awards will be announced at the red carpet ceremony on April 9. Amartuvshin.E previously won numerous national and international opera competitions, including winning the first place at Operalia Competition, Beijing, China in 2012. He also won the Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize at the 2015 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition.
