Mongolian folk band Egschiglen to perform at Fajr Music Festival
Egschiglen is scheduled to perform at Tehran’s Rudaki Hall on January 11 in Tehran on the second day of the festival.
Egschiglen, one of Mongolia’s few celebrated traditional bands that enjoy a worldwide fame has been performing since 1991 and been on tours to 12 European countries in 1992. This time they will be performing a concert at the 33rd Fajr International Music Festival, Iran's most prestigious Music Festival founded in 1986. Egschiglen is scheduled to perform at Tehran’s Rudaki Hall on January 11 in Tehran on the second day of the festival. According to the director of the festival Hamidreza Nurbakhsh, the music festival has an active participation of international section with a variety of music from different nations including Senegal, Japan, Serbia, China and Slovenia as well as Mongolia. Egschiglen has been working hard on developing contemporary music using Mongolia and Central Asian traditional instruments in German over the years. We’ll be back with more after this musical break.
