Mongolian-Indian cooperation matters discussed. Deputy Prime Minister U.Enkhtuvshin received H.E.Suresh Babu, India’s Ambassador to Mongolia. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the construction of Mongolia’s oil refinery, direct flights between the two counties as well as an Asian Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction to be held in Ulaanbaatar in 2018. An Indian company is currently working on the feasibility study of the oil refinery project; it is expected that this will be presented to the Cabinet in 2018. Mr U.Enkhtuvshin noted that Mongolian government is paying much attention to this strategically beneficial project. Later, the Deputy PM and the Ambassador Suresh Babu discussed launching a direct Ulaanbaatar-New Delhi direct flight which will be aimed at improving business relations and developing the travel sector between the two countries. This will help to increase the volume of trade which currently stands at USD 27 million between the two countries.
