Eagle huntress N.Aisholpan receives Asia Game Changer awards

16-year-old eagle huntress N.Aisholpan from western province of Bayan-Ulgii received the Asia Game Changer Awards-2017 for the first time from Mongolia. Asia Game Changer Awards are bestowed annually to those that have inspired, and shown leadership in areas of policy and business, arts and culture, and education. N.Aisholpan was acknowledged as a Game changer with her contribution to promote gender equality worldwide as she came out as the first female Eagle hunter in the world. Eagle hunting is an ancient hunting tradition and unique cultural heritage of Kazakh minority of Mongolia. Earning herself a worldwide recognition N. Aisholpan played her role in the documentary movie named ‘The Eagle Huntress’ released in 2016. The movie was based on her story of participating as a first female contestant at the Golden Eagle Festival in Western Mongolia during which she won the first place in the eagle hunting contest setting a new record of fastest hunt at five seconds at a remarkable young age of thirteen.
