Three animal species included in CMS Bonn convention
Mongolia registered three animals including Gobi bear, takhi and steppe eagle in Convention on Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals.
Mongolia registered three animals including Gobi bear, takhi and steppe eagle in the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals during the 12th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties held in Manila, the Philippines. At the session, Mongolia asked the Convention’s participants to register the three endangered species in the Convention, and they accepted the request. As the animals were included in the Convention, Mongolia is now able to intensify works of saving the endangered species and to collaborate with international organizations in reserving the animals. Mongolia joined the Bonn Convention in 1999.
