Mongolia won gold from World Judo Championships. The gold medal was won in women’s -57 kg competition by Rio Olympic silver medalist Sumiya Dorjsuren. Sumiya becomes Mongolia’s fourth world champion, the second woman champion in judo, and the fourth Mongolian judoka to win two medals from world championships. Furthermore, G.Odbayar won a bronze medal in men’s -73 kg competition, becoming the 12th Mongolian judoka to secure a medal from world championships. In the first three days of the championships, Mongolia has bagged 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals, ranking second among 126 countries.
