Mongolia and Poland to intensify cooperation in transportation sector
An intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and the Republic of Poland on international auto transportation cooperation will be established in the near future to regulate transportation relations.
Mongolia and Poland are to intensify cooperation in transportation sector. An intergovernmental agreement between Mongolia and the Republic of Poland on international auto transportation cooperation will be established in the near future to regulate transportation relations between the two countries more properly and to create favorable facilitated conditions for travelling. It was agreed during a meeting held between Minister of Road and Transport Development D.Ganbat and Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Construction of Poland Jerzy Schmidt at the International Transport Forum’s 2017 Summit in Germany. 2 sides agreed to conduct transports under temporary regulations until the establishment of the agreement. The Minister requested to support Mongolia in training railway specialists in Poland and sharing experiences to introduce European norms and standards as Poland successfully has been making renovations in the railway sector since 1990 and it has a good experience in operation and establishing infrastructure for freight transfer between different track gauge railways. The effective forum between two countries can be demonstrated with Mongolia and Poland has agreed to cooperate more closely in transit transportation noted Deputy Minister Jerzy Schmidt in his presentation at the summit.
