Mongolian Children’s writer nominated for Hans Christian Anderson award
State Prize Laureate and State Honored Cultural Figure, children’s writer Jamba Dashdondog was included in the 33 nominations for the “Hans Christian Anderson Award”.
Mongolian Children’s writer nominated for Hans Christian Anderson award. State Prize Laureate and State Honored Cultural Figure, children’s writer Jamba Dashdondog was included in the 33 nominations for the “Hans Christian Anderson Award” (HCAA), which is dubbed as "Nobel Prize for Children’s Literature”. J.Dashdondog is nominated for this internationally respected award for the second time. Jamba Dashdondog first published his novel when he was in high school at the age of 17 and has written around hundred books and novels ever since, and published over 30 books abroad. His noteworthy novels are very popular among children in Mongolia. The Hans Christian Anderson Award is the highest international distinction given to authors and illustrators of children’s books. The award recognizes lifelong achievement and is given to an author and an illustrator whose complete works have made an important, lasting contribution to children’s literature.
