Construction of power plant in Gobi discussed
Prime Minister J.Erdenebat received a delegation headed by Mr Gordon Dickie, Managing Director of IM Power, and Ms Catherine Arnold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of UK to Mongolia.
Construction of power plant in Gobi is discussed. Prime Minister J.Erdenebat received a delegation headed by Mr Gordon Dickie, Managing Director of IM Power, and Ms Catherine Arnold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of UK to Mongolia. The guests presented their request to build power plant based on Shivee Ovoo coal deposit. The power plant can be a reliable energy supplier for southern and eastern region of Mongolia, say the delegates. Consequently, Energy Minister P.Gankhuu was assigned to organize research on feasibilities to build such a power plant in the location and report the findings. The premier expressed his hope that the project, if implemented, would increase investors’ trust toward Mongolia. The project would cost around USD 1.2 billion.
