In celebration of Earth Day and in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of U.S.-Mongolia diplomatic relations, the U.S. Embassy in Ulaanbaatar presents U.S. Arts Envoys “Vocal Trash,” a unique musical ensemble visiting Mongolia from April 25 to May. “Vocal Trash” is a unique musical ensemble which advocates for recycling and protecting the environment. Their style of music is a combination of pop, rock, swing, and classic oldies, performed using instruments made out of recycled objects and materials. Vocal Trash tours globally, with the aim of promoting environmental awareness and bringing people together through the universal language of song and dance. The highlight of their Mongolian tour will be a public concert on April 27, where the group will be joined by the “Egshiglent Chimee” band, the first national winners of the “Mongolia’s Got Talent” television show. Throughout their tour, Vocal Trash will conduct public concerts at various venues, while interacting with local environmental program participants, ger district community members, orphanages, and arts and culture civil society organizations.
