Mongolian team put up brilliant performance at Special Olympics World Winter Games. So far, Mongolian athlete N.Uyanga won a gold medal in a 100-meter alpine skiing tournament of the 2017 Youth Winter Special Olympic Games in Austria and became the first Mongolian to win gold medal from the Special Olympic Winter Games. In total, the Mongolian national team secured one gold, two silver and one bronze medals in cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Also, Mongolian floor ball team is qualified for the quarter-final after 10 tough matches in the previous rounds. The Mongolian national team for the 2017 Winter Games consists of 14 athletes and competed with more than 3000 athletes from 107 countries in 9 disciplines. The Special Olympics World Winter Games are an international sporting competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities and the Games last until March 25.
