Mongolia wins three medals at Dusseldorf Grand Prix 2017. The first International Judo Federation’s Grand Prix of the year took place in Germany with 346 judokas from 50 countries. Mongolian judokas won gold, silver and bronze medals from the tournament. Former world champion G.Boldbaatar of Mongolia secured a gold medal in the men’s 60 kg. He defeated Paris Grand Slam bronze medalist Amiran Papinashvili of Georgia with a waza-ari score in the gold medal match. In this weight category, Mongolian judoka D.Amartuvshin beat Ashley Mckenzie of Great Britain and settled for a bronze medal. Olympic silver medalist D.Sumiya claimed a silver medal in the women’s 57 kg. D.Sumiya lost the gold medal match to Germany’s Theresa Stoll.
