By the January of this year, Mongolia traded with 99 countries and the nation’s total trade turnover reached USD 706 million, of which USD 429 million were made up by exports and USD 277 million by imports. The total foreign trade turnover increased 34%. Out of that, exports increased 30% and imports 40% compared to the same period of the previous year. Mongolia-China trade accounted for 68 percent of the total trade turnover, which means more than 36 percent increase compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, 12 percent of the total trade turnover was made up by Mongolian and Russian trade, showing 58.8 percent increase.
