“Asia’s Got Talent 2015” show's runner-upMongolian traditional folk music band “Khusugtun” is undertaking their world tour concerts
The internationally recognized band is renowned for their a capella arrangements using “Khoomei” or “throat-singing”, which is an UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity from Mongolia.
“Asia’s Got Talent 2015” show's runner-up, Mongolian traditional folk music band “Khusugtun” is undertaking their “KHUSUGTUN TEAM AT WORLD STAGE 2017” tour concert in nine cities of the U.S and Canada starting from March. The internationally recognized band is renowned for their a capella arrangements using “Khoomei” or “throat-singing”, which is an UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity from Mongolia. Consisting of six members, the band also performs horsehead fiddle, zither, flute, lute, open-ended flute and various jaw harps. The band will perform on professional stages and famous museums such as the UN headquarters in New-York, “Rubin Museum” and Chicago theaters to promote Mongolian traditional folk music to the world. After the concerts in the USA and Canada, the Khusugtun band will perform in Tokyo Nikkei Hall of Japan in April and at Rumi Festival in Pakistan in May.
