Mongolian mountaineer B.Gangaamaa announced her plan to conquer Antarctica's highest peak Mount Vinsonm. As of February 2010, 1,400 climbers have attempted to reach the top of Mount Vinson at 4,892 meters.

As of February 2010, 1,400 climbers have attempted to reach the top of Mount Vinson at 4,892 meters. The Mongolian athlete will climb the Mount Vinson from December 15-30. Previously, B.Gangaamaa climbed the Mount Elbrus (Russia), Mount Everest (Nepal), Mount Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), Denali (North America), Aconcagua (Argentina) and Carstensz Pyramid (Indonesia). B.Gangaamaa will become the first woman and the ninth Mongolian to climb the Mount Vinson.
