Representative office of UN Food and Agriculture Organization to open in Ulaanbaatar. Mongolian Ambassador to UNFAO (UN Food and Agriculture Organization) Mr. Ts.Jambaldorj presented his credentials to Director-General Jose Graziano da Silva and talked about the bilateral cooperation. At the meeting, Mr. Director-General noted that FAO will be open a representative office in Ulaanbaatar. During the last seven years, the FAO has implemented many programs and projects in Mongolia, focusing on forestry and the livestock sector. Mongolia became a member of the Food and Agriculture Organization in 1974, and was accredited through the FAO Representative office in the People's Republic of China. The FAO Liaison Office in Mongolia was opened in 2009.
