Central Dinosaur Museum launched
Central Dinosaur Museum is launched.
Central Dinosaur Museum is launched in Mongolian capital city. The new dinosaur exhibition consists of 3D models of the dinosaurs which lived in Mongolia during the Late Cretaceous or more than 66 million years ago. The new exhibit includes more than 20 fossils including the carnivorous Tarbosaurus ‘Bataar’, the herbivorous Saurolophus, the small and fast-moving 'egg taker' or Oviraptor, and the armored Ankylosaurus, which had a hammer tail for defense. The exhibit also includes scientifically accurate 3D models and augmented reality technology to bring Mongolia’s prehistoric past alive. Museum visitors can use a mobile application which provides information about the exhibits with 3D models.
