Mongolia expands relations with Kazakhstan in archaeology.
Mongolia expands relations with Kazakhstan in archeology. The Institute of History and Archaeology of Mongolian Academy of Sciences signed a memorandum of cooperation with International Turkic Academy (TWESCO). The document aims to strengthen the cooperation between Mongolia and Kazakhstan, and upgrade international status of the researches. The document was signed in the framework of the forum “The Great Steppe” which was held in Astana of Kazakhstan. Under the document, the parties will focus on the studies of nomadic civilization, researches of the history and monuments of ancient Turkic and Mongolian eras, and on archeology, arthrography and the Turkic-Mongolian relations. Also, the sides agreed to hold joint archaeological expedition to ancient Turkic ritual complex Shveet Ulaan in August with the aim of systematic study of the ancient complexes in the steppes of Mongolia.
