Turkic mound in Mongolia is to be converted into museum. Turkish International Cooperation and Coordination Agency or TİKA will be converting a mound in Mongolia into a museum. The mound was discovered in Bulgan province of Mongolia, belongs to the ancient Göktürk Khanate, Mayhan Uul Kurgan, which survived until 744. A kurgan is a tumulus, a type of burial mound or barrow, heaped over a burial chamber, often of wood. They are mounds of earth and stones raised over a grave or graves.
