A student of the Mongolian State University of Education E.Khulan won a gold medal in the World Amateur Chess Championships 2016 in Halkidiki, Greece.
A student of the Mongolian State University of Education E.Khulan won a gold medal in the World Amateur Chess Championships 2016 in Halkidiki, Greece. Competed in the division under 2,000 FIDE rating, the Mongolian player captured the gold medals, collecting 7.5 points after nine games in both men and women’s contests, and received a title of FIDE master. In the division under 2,300, G.Gantsooj of Mongolia won a bronze medal with 6.5 points in the men’s contest; while another Mongolian athlete N.Tsogzolmaa claimed a silver medal in the women’s contest. Another player T.Bayan-Ochir received a prize of young player.
